Stephen Phillips’ artistic and creative background in the graphic arts has helped him to become the immaculate professional photographer he is today.  He uses techniques he has developed and learned over the past 15 years of shooting professional photos to create his own style, as he captures and reflects the personalities of his customers.

            Stephen and his wife Hannah often work as a team at Weddings and Portrait shoots.  Along with the enjoyment of photographing their customers, they also take delight in getting to know the wonderful bridal couples, families, and people they work with.  It’s for this reason that Phillips Photography makes every effort to attend wedding rehearsals in order to become more acquainted with the couple, bridal party and their families.  They are pleased when a bride and groom are satisfied with their photographic memories, and often call again later to have Phillips Photography capture their family photos.  Phillips Photography’s desire is to be invited back to all the important moments in the lives of their clients.  They want to turn those moments into lasting memories to those who look back on cherished times.

            Stephen and Hannah are both graduates of Indiana University.  Stephen has a degree in fine art, and Hannah earned her degree in Journalism.  While the two often agree, they also use the differences between their areas of expertise to create pictures and albums uniquely tailored to the client.  Their different perspectives also offer a variety to meet the needs of the various likes and dislikes among customers.  Phillips Photography happily shoots traditional pictures that most families treasure for years to come.  It is also their goal to take pictures of their subjects just being themselves, in candid and emotional moments, to portray the individual characteristics that make them special.
